My Approach

The way I work with clients reflects what I’d want for myself if I were in the other chair. You won’t get canned responses or clinical language that feels hollow. I’m not here to act like a blank slate—I’m a human working with another human. My goal is to create a space that’s real, warm, and grounded in genuine connection. I want you to feel safe, seen, and comfortable showing up exactly as you are.
Humor matters to me. It’s one of the things that helps break the tension and bring closeness, especially when we’re talking about heavy things. Sometimes, being able to laugh—at the chaos, at the lemons life keeps throwing your way—makes it easier to breathe, reflect, and move forward. And yes, we’ll try to make your own kind of lemonade, whatever that looks like.

If I see you stuck in patterns that are hurting you, I’ll call you out—with compassion, not judgment. I won’t sugarcoat things, but I also won’t leave you alone in them. My intention is always to help you pause, reflect, and maybe find a different path—one that feels more aligned with who you are and what you truly want.

As an immigrant, I understand how deeply culture shapes us. I’m always curious to learn about the customs, values, and experiences that have impacted your world. My background in social work helps me see the bigger picture—the systems around us, the generational patterns, the ways life can press in from all directions. And sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is pause, reflect on what we’ve been taught to believe, and give ourselves permission to grow beyond it.
Areas of Expertise
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and am currently in the final stretch of completing my licensure hours. My education gave me a solid foundation, but most of what shapes my work has come from experience—personal, professional, and everything in between. I believe in staying curious, committed to growth, and always learning how to better serve the people I work with.
My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care, with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a central part of my work. I completed my EMDR training over a year and a half ago and have been consistently practicing it ever since. Over time, it’s become one of the most powerful tools I use to help clients process painful experiences and shift the way those experiences live in the body and mind.

Alongside EMDR, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including but not limited to Experiential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic Therapy. I don’t believe in rigid formulas or one-size-fits-all methods—therapy should be flexible, collaborative, and shaped around what actually works for you. I also enjoy working with couples and view the relationship as a system that can be supported and strengthened through insight, communication, and intentional effort.

If you’re ready to explore, reflect, and make meaningful changes, I’d be honored to walk that path with you. Let’s dive in!
